Simple things.
Today marks the end of my Junior year. It also means that this summer will be my last “free” one before I step into the real world (in hopes that things will continually go as planned). Honestly, thoughts about the real world kind of scare me…but excite me at the same time. I will miss all of these, very much. I already do whenever I get so busy with school. This is why I will assure that this summer break ahead will be well spent.
But putting the big plans aside, it’s such a great feeling to be able to do the simple things again - listening to music for hourssss, movie marathons, playing the guitar, and just relaxing without worrying about examsquizzespostsetc. It’s those simple things that I don’t always get to do when school’s around. Call it lame, but I appreciate these things much more now since I barely had time before.
And so when I said that this break will be well spent, I didn’t necessarily only mean that I’ll be flying out to places, taking road trips, etc. What I meant was, I will enjoy this summer spending most of my time with my family and friends, along with giving myself some time too. That’s all.
